Content is great but app functionality is poor. I'm not thrilled with that for the cost paid. Searching and button selection is very delayed, editing a day is confusing, and the food list to select from in the tracker is weird. It should just list your recent foods instead of random things we will never eat. It seems to try to do that then glitches and resets to random, odd foods.
Good while it lasted, but after a few months it started telling me I only have a few free food searches left. I didn't know when I downloaded the app that it would only allow so many free searches. The information on this app was very useful, but I am not able to spend that much on an app subscription. I understand apps need to earn money somehow, but it's frustrating looking for basic guidance for how to feed my child and everywhere I look just being another money grab on well-meaning parents.
I tried to use this with both of my kids. With my first the interface wasn't user friendly and I struggled to find the foods we actually eat. I was just shown random foods that I don't even think I've eaten before and this was after paying the yearly amount. For my second, I wanted to give it a fair try again. I got the app and paid the subscription as soon as they were able to eat. I didn't use the app for a month and it deleted everything I had tracked. I will never use this app again.
Looking up how to safely serve foods is great. Being able to track when I introduced foods is useful... in theory. But some of the functionality doesn't work too well. I recorded yogurt introductions like a month ago, but the app will NOT update my dairy allergen status, because I didn't follow their specific meal selection. I spent two hours trying to get it to work (it didn't). I want to spend time with my kid, not wrestle my phone. That's after paying $99 to use this app. I feel like a fool.
The paywall is ridiculous. I don't need fancy features; I just want to see how to serve a particular food based on age. Every time I open the app, I get spammed by the request to pay $100 a year. I would understand having to be accosted once a week or once a month but being spammed every single time I open the app is incomprehensible. That is a ridiculous amount of money for the information I want. I would happily pay $10 a year, but $100? This app is simply unusable.
