I love this game, I truly do. I have put so many hours into this game. However, the ads are starting to kill me. Almost every single crossword, every minigame, the second you finish it, you get an ad. I understand having ads, especially for hints, but EVERY OTHER GAME is absurd. I'm a very fast crossword player, and I feel like I spend more time watching ads than PLAYING THE GAME. I cannot in good conscience recommend this app. If the game is unplayable without buying "No Ads", it ISN'T FREE.
I have to close like five different windows when I open the app before I'm even able to play a puzzle. Bonuses, specials, weekly events, blah blah blah STOPPPPP just let me do a crossword puzzle or two while I'm in the doctor's office waiting room. And don't get me started on the ads. Puzzles themselves are also very easy and don't require much thought or effort. Was only gonna give this 2 stars but then I saw the AI generated art for thumbnails in the app so now it's one star and an uninstall.
This is one of the WORST apps I have downloaded in a long time. The game is always crashing, like in the middle of a level and when you finally get back in, you have to start all over. The ads are also horrible 1. They are so loooooong and then if you don't hit the X just right you're brought to the play store, go back to the game; hit the X again and guess what you're back in the play store! Do this a few more times and yay you hit the X just right but then guess what happens..the game crashes
The game is pretty good, but I have concerns about what the app is doing in the background. It is often slow to go from one activity/screen to the next, and my phone often gets hot while this game is running. No other apps on my phone do this. I only do the daily puzzles at this point, and it's frustrating just to do those. Furthermore, it keeps my screen on, and if I don't touch it for more than like a minute, it starts playing more ads.
Absolutely worst support ever. Purchased the truckload of coins package, never saw anything added to my account, support takes days if not weeks to get back to you, gives you 'fixes' that do not work. I had to report to my credit card company as fraud / services not delivered to get my money back. Without being able to eliminate the ads, the game is miserable. Will be looking for a different crossword game. in response to play Simple games, no thank you already tried that it didn't work
