I used to like this app a lot but they just changed the interface and it's so much worse. It used to show hour-by-hour with dynamic, easy to interpret graphics and now it's just a left to right bar that doesn't even show chance of precipitation. I can't tell if this was changed as a misguided attempt to "streamline" the look of the app, or if they're hoping making it even more basic and pointless will make people want to upgrade to premium (it won't), but it sucks now.

They want you to pay a subscription fee for the widget, but the widget is both useless and plain broken. Only shows the current weather, when other weather apps will show hourly or even daily forecasts in the widget for free, the snarky quips tend to get cut off with no way to read the rest, which is made worse by the fact the widget has a lot of unused empty space for some reason.

Don't use if you want at a glance temps - The widget doesn't update the temperature very often and it can be wrong by 10 degrees or more. This happens even after changing the always-on optimization settings. it happens on my phone and two tablets so it appears to be an app problem - in fact, the three devices will show three different temps at the same time! I emailed support with no response.

The strangest thing about this app is that it gives no notifications. When attempting to enable them, Android reports that it doesn't send notifications. I had it on iOS and really used it as my primary weather app. But definitely can't do so here unless they actually get some parity with what its Apple counterpart can manage. Certainly won't subscribe for merely enabling radar. It's a far cry from what they offer elsewhere, sadly.

I used to think carrot was good but now after having it for almost 2 years. I am dumping it. Its weather predictions have gone south. Can't get an accurate prediction. Its supposed to snow this week and carrot only says partly cloudy. We are supposed to get 8". Something wrong here. Plus no radar still after 2 years. No update to our version of the app but Apple phones get a new version entirely. I also paid for premium and it wasn't worth it. Do yourself a favor and avoid this app on android. They do not care about android customers. Defiantly do not waste your money on premium. You will never see a benefit from it especially since they refuse to update it.
