Update: the changed the UI and it's even worse now. I will stay off Reddit until it's improved / reverted to the old UI. They got rid of the trending topics at the top of the Popular tab, which I assume was done to keep us in the dark about current events. Additionally, it's difficult to swipe through a gallery within a post without having to open the post, otherwise you risk swiping into another feed (such as going from your personal feed to Popular)
I actually didn't have any issues until yesterday. Nothing will load on the app even after I delete the data and cache. I tried logging out and now I can't log back in. Can't access the website either because it directs me to the app. Update 2/10: It's been two months and it still doesn't work on my phone, nothing loads and I can't log in. Have found no solution so far
Really glitchy. I am on Android on a really good phone, updated, Reddit is updated, all that good stuff. But I frequently can not make posts with pictures, share posts with pictures, make posts with multiple pictures, or comment on people's posts with pictures. It's hit and miss. Sometimes it works, mostly it doesn't. I've reported it with no response or help. Would be great otherwise.
Usually seems to work pretty well. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. I notice that the last comment in a post will be almost completely cut off though and I can't scroll down or anything to see what it would say. I am giving 1 star because even on a brand new phone with all the bells and whistles, the app does not seem to be optimized to be the best it can be. Giving more stars or 5 just seems like a reason to neglect the little things that can make the biggest difference later.
This app gets the job done, but that's about it. The random offers to "get notifications about this community" when viewing or joining a sub is REALLY annoying. It's very easy to accidentally say yes and then get notifications that you really never wanted to begin with. Ads are annoying too. It also AGGRESSIVELY opens links from browser searches, then takes you back to your feed instead of to your browser when you hit back. Clearly trying to trap users in the app as long as possible.
