Haven't missed a authenticator code yet! Voice calls are good ... but not great. All in all, reliable and a very good bargain! RECENT UPDATE: I live abroad and was unable to make phone calls back to the USA. I had trouble finding it, but eventually found a "Help/Support" screen. I wrote about what was happening and in a couple of hours I was messaged back. It took a couple of msg exchanges, but within 6 hrs it was back up and running.
I've read some of the reviews and I have had nothing but a good experience using the Hushed app. My only wish is that some of the features would have come already prepped in that way all you have to do is turn off what you don't want me. what I love is that the company addressed every review good or bad I really appreciated it. Voicemails received won't play.
The app is pretty good and easy to use but I've been having issues with the other person not hearing me after some time. For example, if the call lasts more than 30 minutes they suddenly can't hear me anymore (I can hear them fine). Then I call back and it's good for a little but happens again...they suddenly can't hear me. It's not a huge problem but still annoying.
I have unsuccessfully tried this on multiple devices. I can't make or receive phone calls & I can't send or receive text messages. The live support is just a bot that states that no one is available for live support. The app has diagnostic testing, which shows that the app was fully functioning on multiple devices. The app links to known interruptions in their services, which shows 100% uptime. Do not invest any money in this fraudulent service or app. Edit: 1 to 3 stars. Issues resolved.
Very disappointing. It is NOT just a free phone number. You can't use this app if you don't already have another US phone number. I was residing outside of the US and needed a US number for business. While sometimes I could place and receive calls, more often than not the app would require an external US phone number to be entered, in order to route and receive calls. I had no other phone plan at the time, so basically this app was a really terrible experience for me.
